I have extensive experience in idea generation, project planning, concept development and implementation. My strengths lie in organization, team coordination, strategic thinking, problem-solving and idea generation. I strive to find solutions to any problem and balance those solutions with each other.
I am interested in developing as a project manager in technology development, and I am looking for new challenges in this field.
External Projects/Competitive Projects:
1.) Project: Car of the future
As part of the "Car of the Future" project, I had the task of developing and realizing a model car with a very low cw value. The focus was on sustainability and the project was successfully completed. Another challenge was that the finished model car would be tested in the wind tunnel of the Ruhr University Bochum at the end.
In a team of four, I took primary responsibility for machining the chassis using a CNC milling machine by entering the necessary parameters and data into the CNC program. Beforehand, I cut out the basic shape of the chassis from a wooden panel using a jigsaw, which served as a template. I was also involved in designing the shape of the body and in mixing epoxy resin and laying fiberglass mats in the mold. Furthermore, I was responsible for time and budget planning. By working in a team, I was able to demonstrate my project management and technical implementation skills. The model car of our team finally won the competition in the wind tunnel of the Ruhr University Bochum.
2) Project: Weightless in space
As part of the "Weightless in Space" project, I had the task of developing and realizing a rocket with the help of a 3D printer together with a partner. Our main challenge was that the rocket had to balance on a substructure without falling off in order to win the competition. For this, the rocket was attached to a rod and the other end of the rod had to be balanced with another object. I was responsible for the technical design of the rocket and made a rough technical drawing, which later served as a template for CAD modeling. After completing the CAD model, I edited it for the 3D printer, and it was then printed in the 3D printer. I finally finished the rocket with sandpaper to smooth out the shape. The shape and material of the 3D printed rocket contributed to our team's victory in the competition. I was also responsible for the technical production, time and budget planning.
I have gained a lot of experience through years of working on my own projects in the field of concept development and prototyping of innovative technologies and devices.
I have independently managed projects from idea generation to prototype completion, including time and budget planning. Being independent has allowed me to better define and highlight my knowledge and strengths in each discipline.
3) Project: Manned Aerial Vehicles (VTOL) CAD-Concept models ⇽ Link
VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) refers to aircraft that are able to take off vertically, hover, fly and also land vertically. In the near future, VTOLs will likely be the primary mode of transportation for individuals with high purchasing power. Flying a VTOL is easier than ever thanks to advanced technologies - with autonomous VTOLs, the pilot only needs to keep an eye on speed, altitude and the environment around the aircraft. The electric version of VTOLs is called an eVTOL (electric Vertical Take Off and Landing). You could imagine such an aircraft like a drone, where the pilot does not control the drone from the outside, but is inside the drone himself and controls it from the inside.
I was instrumental in the development of this project and worked out the concept from scratch. For this, I did extensive research to understand the challenges and difficulties of VTOLs. I also created technical drawings and several CAD models to visually represent and technically implement the project. CAD designs (images) ⇽ Link
I deepened my knowledge of aeronautical and drone technology by learning about the various components such as sensors, motors, control electronics and batteries, propellers (materials and angle settings). Not only that, but I set both the schedule and budget for this project and determined the material costs for the aluminum frame and the technical and physical components of the prototype. Likewise, I also focused on stabilizing the aircraft, landing it safely, and preventing it from tipping over by performing specific calculations in conjunction with the flight controller. Furthermore, I also performed calculations for the maximum altitude, speed, and flight duration of the aircraft by considering factors such as lift, propulsion, drag, and weight.
The project had to be paused.
The reason:
Building and testing the VTOL prototype is restricted by regulations and approvals from the German Federal Aviation and Space Agency (German FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). VTOL operations are permitted only with special licenses and approvals.
The effective development of new aviation technologies requires the provision of permits and licenses by the country in which the project is carried out, as well as the provision of premises where prototypes can be tested under safe and secure conditions.
